Will Wynn Had a Few Words to Say

Last month, during a busy traffic morning, a large truck was blocking traffic on 5th street in downtown Austin. Our Mayor, Will Wynn, happened to be apart of the traffic that was being blocked by the large truck after taking his kids to school. He managed to park his car at is house
and on while walking to city hall he stopped at the construction site where the truck was blocking traffic. He "Spewed profanity" for awhile at the driver. The mayor was yelling threats to the workers saying that the better have permits, and be insured. He also did not let anyone leave until a police officer arrived at the scene. He later told reporters that he was mad at the fact that thousands of motorist were effected by the blockage. Will Wynn as been supporting a rail system to help reduce traffic downtown. He is very passionate on this issue which could be reasoning for the outrage. a reporter interviewed some of the workers that were there, they said he sounded very threatening. The super attendant of the site called 311,the non-emergency number, and told them what was happening, they later reported that other calls were made to complain about the traffic hold up. All that came of the incident was that the driver received a warning from the police not to block traffic like that again. Will Wynn later proposed an ordinance that would restrict large trucks to drive in certain areas downtown in certain busy traffic time to reduce congestion. He also apologized to the drivers who were backed up by the truck.
